ㅏ a as in father. ㅓ eo — a darker 'uh', like the vowel in 'sun' but rounder. Mixing 아/어 is the fastest way to sound lost.

ㅗ o (oh). ㅜ u (oo). ㅡ eu — unrounded, like a muffled 'uh' with a flat mouth. ㅣ i (ee).
