Help: pharmacy, clinic, and staying calm

도와주세요 is the most valuable phrase in any language.

L’explication est en anglais. Les lignes coréennes et le sens suivent votre langue.

도와주세요 (please help me) is understood everywhere, instantly. For real emergencies: 112 is police, 119 is ambulance/fire. The 1330 hotline has interpreters in dozens of languages — save it before you need it.

Pharmacies (약국) handle most tourist ailments: 감기에 걸렸어요 (I caught a cold), 배가 아파요 (my stomach hurts), 두통이 있어요 (I have a headache). Point at the body part; 아파요 (it hurts) does the rest.

Stay calm, stay specific: 여기가 아파요 (it hurts HERE) while pointing beats a paragraph. Korean medical staff are used to international patients and will meet you halfway — your job is just the three words.
