Ordering: the 이거 주세요 power move
Point at the menu picture. Say 이거 주세요. Eat like a local.
L’explication est en anglais. Les lignes coréennes et le sens suivent votre langue.
이거 주세요 (this, please) works in every restaurant, market stall, and convenience store on the peninsula. Add 하나 더 (one more) when you understand why everyone queued.
Korean restaurants bring 물 (water) free and 반찬 (side dishes) refillable — asking for more is normal: 김치 좀 더 주세요. The phrase 덜 맵게 해 주세요 (less spicy, please) has saved more tourists than sunscreen.
Paying: 계산할게요 signals you're done. Many places expect you to pay at the counter, not the table — watch locals or just say 계산할게요 while standing up. It works like a universal remote.
