Gift-giving rules

선물 문화 — what to give, when, and with two hands.

解説は英語です。韓国語の行と意味は選んだ言語です。

Give and receive with BOTH hands (두 손으로). Accepting a business card or gift one-handed reads careless.

Housewarming (집들이): bring 휴지 (toilet paper — things go smoothly) or laundry detergent (luck multiplies). Literally the custom.

Spending too little or too much both sting — gifts are reciprocal ledgers. Return-gift culture (답례품) means every gift creates a debt of kindness.
