The recipes
Every block is: (1) consonant + vowel, (2) consonant + vowel + consonant, or a lone vowel with ㅇ standing in. 감 = ㄱ + ㅏ + ㅁ.
Vowels pick a side
Vertical vowels (ㅏ ㅓ ㅣ) hang on the right of the consonant. Horizontal ones (ㅗ ㅜ ㅡ) sit underneath. ㅡ decides at birth.
