환전 어디서 해요? — banks beat airport kiosks.

Airport kiosks (환전소) are open late but stingy with rates. City banks (은행) and Myeongdong exchange shops give better numbers on the same day.

Bring your passport everywhere for exchange — 신분증 (ID) is mandatory. Machines take dollars, euros, yen; cards take care of most daily spend.

Get small bills (천원짜리) for markets and taxis. Street stalls and old-school spots still appreciate exact change.
