화장실 어디예요? — the most useful 4 words.
화장실 (hwajangsil) is the standard word — signs, cafés, station maps, everywhere. 변소 exists but sounds clinical; you will never need it.
Many cafés and small restaurants share bathrooms or need a key: 열쇠 주세요. Some need a code: 비밀번호 있어요?
Gender: 남 (men), 여 (women). Learn these two characters and never walk into the wrong room again.
